-
Owner & Coach
Jamy Walker brings decades of experience in fitness, martial arts, coaching, and endurance athletics to Champions Edge Fitness.A 5th-degree black belt and longtime martial arts and self-defense instructor, Jamy has spent years helping people develop strength, confidence, discipline, and the ability to push beyond what they thought they could do.
His endurance background includes winning the 2024 Winter Death Race, multiple finishes of the 40+ hour Gauntlet endurance event, and participation in numerous Spartan races, Tough Mudders, and other endurance challenges. These experiences have reinforced something that has become central to his coaching philosophy: physical strength matters, but resilience, adaptability, and the willingness to keep moving forward matter just as much.
Jamy also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, bringing an understanding of the connection between physical activity, health, and long-term quality of life to his approach to fitness.
But you don’t need to be an endurance athlete—or want to become one—to train with Jamy.
His goal is to make fitness challenging, approachable, and adaptable to the individual. From someone beginning their fitness journey to an experienced athlete preparing for their next challenge, everyone deserves an environment where they can improve without feeling like they have to prove they belong.
That belief helped shape Champions Edge Fitness: a place for everyday people and athletes alike to become stronger, healthier, more confident, and more capable.
Find your edge. Then see how far you can push it.
KRISTAL WALKER
STRENGTH TRAINING AND YOGA
-
Owner & Coach
Kristal Walker is a YogaFit Certified Instructor at Champion’s Edge Fitness, where she brings a unique combination of movement, creativity, mindfulness, and education to her classes.Kristal also holds a Master’s Degree in Art and has spent her career as an art educator. Her background in art strongly influences her approach to yoga and fitness. Art teaches patience, creativity, attention to detail, and an appreciation for individual expression — qualities that translate naturally into the way she works with her students.
Kristal believes that, much like art, movement looks different for everyone. There is no single picture of what strength, flexibility, or fitness should look like. Her classes encourage members to work within their own abilities while developing greater mobility, balance, flexibility, body awareness, and confidence.
At Champion’s Edge, Kristal’s yoga classes provide an important complement to strength and endurance training. Her focus on mobility, recovery, and intentional movement helps members take care of their bodies so they can continue doing the things they enjoy for years to come.
Whether you’re an experienced athlete, completely new to yoga, or simply looking for a way to move and feel better, Kristal creates a welcoming environment where everyone can participate and progress at their own pace.

Meet Coach Tracy Nist
For Tracy Nist, fitness is about much more than workouts—it’s about building the strength and ability to keep doing the things that matter most in life.
Tracy has been part of the Champions Edge Fitness family for more than 2½ years, beginning her journey with us when we were still known as uMUVfit. During that time, life has brought plenty of change: turning 50, changing careers, retiring early from the Post Office, and taking on one of her most important roles yet—being a full-time caregiver for her toddler grandbaby.
Those experiences have shaped the way Tracy looks at fitness and the kind of coach she wants to be.
Her goal is to help people build strength for life.
Whether that means completing an obstacle course race, training for a triathlon, reaching a personal fitness goal, getting stronger, or simply being able to get on the floor and play with your grandkids and get back up again—Tracy believes fitness should help you age well and live well.
Tracy also understands firsthand that everyone's starting point is different. She deals with significant arthritis in her feet and ankles and has learned how important it is to modify movements when necessary while still challenging yourself and continuing to make progress.
That philosophy fits perfectly with what we believe at Champions Edge:
Meet people where they are. Challenge them from there. And never make someone feel like they don't belong.
A first-time member can train alongside someone preparing for a triathlon, Spartan race, DEKA, or another endurance event. The movements, weights, intensity, and expectations may be different—but everyone is working toward becoming a stronger version of themselves.
Tracy brings the same welcoming attitude to coaching that she has experienced as a member. She wants new people to walk through the door and immediately know they have a place here.
Because to Tracy, Champions Edge isn't just a gym. It's family. It's home.
A home where we push each other to be better, do better, and feel better.
We're proud to have Tracy Nist as part of the Champions Edge Fitness coaching team!
